VILLAGE CLERK & TREASURER

The Village Clerk works with the Mayor and Board of Trustees to oversee all administrative responsibilities of the Village of Millerton and is responsible for maintaining custody of the Village seal, books, and all official reports.

The Village Clerk is the Village of Millerton’s Freedom of Information Officer/Records Management Officer and is custodian of all Village records, responsible for active files, storage and retrieval of inactive records, and the careful maintenance of archival material.

The Clerk is also the receiver of taxes.

Village Tax Roll covers June 1st, 2022 to May 31st, 2023.

Taxes may be received by mail: 5933 N Elm Avenue, Millerton, NY, 12546 or Monday through Thursdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or Friday’s from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon, at the Village Hall at 5933 N Elm Avenue, Millerton, NY.

The interest to be added after July 1, 2022 is 5%, with an additional 1% per month thereafter.​ Unpaid Taxes will be sent to Dutchess County on November 1st, 2022.

  • All unpaid 2022 Village Taxes have been submitted to Dutchess County for collection.
  • 2023 Village Taxes will be mailed on or about June 1, 2023

offices as vacant position(s) at the end of the current official year to be filled at the Village Election,
to be held on Tuesday, June 18,2024, for the following terms:

Public Hearing

Local Law No. 1 of 2024

TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Millerton will hold a public hearing at the Village Hall, 5933 N. Elm Avenue, Millerton, New York 12546, on March 11, 2024, at 6 p.m., Prevailing Time on Proposed Local Law No. 1 of 2022, entitled “A Local Law authorizing a property tax levy in excess of the limit established in General Municipal Law Section 3-c”.

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that copies of the aforesaid proposed local law will be available for examination at the Village of Millerton Village Hall, 5933 N. Elm Avenue, Millerton, New York, during normal business hours on all business days between the date of this notice and the date of the public hearing.

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that all persons interested, and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard on said proposal at the time and place aforesaid.
