Dear Dutchess County Resident:

The Dutchess County Department of Public Works (DPW) will be starting a sidewalk improvement project on Maple Avenue (CR62) in the Village of Millerton to improve the safety of pedestrians along the roadway.

Project work will include replacing the existing sidewalk on the west side of the roadway with a new, wider sidewalk and the addition of two ADA-compliant crossings at the intersection of State Route 44. Work will begin on or about the week of August 3, 2026, at the southern end of Maple Ave. near Park Street and will continue north three-tenths of a mile to Highland Drive. During construction, access to driveways will be maintained. The project is expected to be completed by this fall.

Should you have any questions, please contact the Dutchess County Department of Public Works at (845) 486-2925. Thank you very much for your cooperation.
