PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES

CHURCH STREET SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT FOR ADA ACCESSIBILITY

Village of Millerton, Dutchess County, New York

Notice is hereby given, that the Village of Millerton is soliciting proposals from qualified professional engineering firms for design and construction-phase engineering services for the Church Street Sidewalk Replacement for ADA Accessibility project. The project is being undertaken through the Dutchess County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.

The project generally involves replacement and/or reconstruction of approximately 585 linear feet of existing sidewalk along the east side of Church Street extending to Barton Street, as shown on the RFP project map, to provide a continuous ADA-accessible pedestrian route. Professional services are expected to include field review and survey/base mapping; preliminary and final design; complete bid-ready design and construction drawings and specifications; accessibility, grading, drainage, driveway and utility coordination; construction cost estimating; CDBG/Dutchess County bid-document coordination; bidding and award assistance; construction administration and management; construction observation/inspection; and project closeout and record drawings.

Bids will be opened on September 29, 2026, at 4:05 PM at the Village Hall, 5933 N. Elm Avenue Millerton, NY 12546.

The bid specifications may be obtained at the Village Clerk’s office during regular business hours, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.

All proposals must be submitted in a sealed package marked “”RFP – Church Street Sidewalk Engineering Services.” and be received no later than 4:00 PM, September 29, 2026. Please submit two (2) original hard copies and one electronic copy of the proposal to the address as follows:

Proposers are urged to mail/deliver their proposal early. Late proposals will not be accepted and will be returned unopened to the vendor.  Faxed copies will not be accepted.

Professional service firms, individuals, or teams that are or include NYS Certified MBE or WBE firms or individuals are strongly encouraged to submit proposals in response to this RFP.  Consultants and firms are also encouraged to submit utilizing DBE sub-consultants where appropriate.
