The Dutchess County Transportation Council is updating the Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan (Coordinated Plan), which aims to improve transportation options for older adults, people with disabilities, low-income individuals, and others who struggle to access reliable transportation. Visit the North East-Millerton Library Annex on October 22. 2025 from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM for a conversation about how we can address transportation gaps and improve access to basic needs. We want to hear from you about the transportation challenges you face and the changes you would like to see!

A State of Emergency is hereby declared in the Village of Millerton, effective at 4:00 p.m. on October 3, 2025.

The State of Emergency has been declared due to a fire at the Village Highway Garage which has damaged the Village’s water supply infrastructure and highway equipment.

Such conditions threaten the public safety of the citizens and residents of the Village of Millerton.

This State of Emergency will remain in effect for thirty (30) days or until rescinded by the Village Mayor.

As the Chief Executive of the Village of Millerton, Dutchess County, State of New York, I, Jenn Najdek, exercise the authority given me under Section 24 of the New York State Executive Law, to preserve the public safety and hereby render all required and available assistance vital to the security, well-being, and health of the citizens and residents of the Village of Millerton.

I hereby direct all departments and agencies of the Village of Millerton to take whatever steps necessary to protect life and property, public infrastructure, and provide such emergency assistance deemed necessary.
