American Water Resources is a legitimate private company that offers optional water and sewer line protection programs directly to homeowners. Participation in any American Water Resources program is entirely voluntary, and residents may choose whether or not to enroll. The Village does not endorse, promote, or administer these programs.
Please be advised that property owners are responsible for the maintenance and repair of their water service lines, which typically run from the water main at the property line to the home. The Village is generally not responsible for repairs on privately owned service lines.
Residents with questions about mailings they receive from American Water Resources should contact the company directly. For questions regarding water service responsibilities, residents may contact the Village offices.
