Eddie Collins Memorial Park has been under renovation for several years. In 2022, it reopened with a new soccer field, a parking lot for 100 cars, 2 basketball courts, an upgraded Little League Field and playground. The fall of 2024 will bring lights to the Little League Field.
The project continues with a plan for a 3,600 square feet pool house and community room in addition to a 5-lane Olympic short course swimming pool and a zero entry play area. The pool and pool house will be partly funded with a $6,385,000 grant from NYSWIMS and a $500,000 grant from New York State Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. Construction will begin in 2025 and completed in 2026 in time for the Village’s 175th anniversary.
