National Children’s Day

Eddie Collins Memorial Park

Eddie Collins Memorial Park reopened in October 2022 after a $2.2 million renovation, featuring 2 new basketball courts, an upgraded Little League Field with accessible bleachers, an expanded playground, a full-sized soccer field, a new entrance and parking lot, an updated bathhouse, new trees, and picnic tables.

Now, it’s time for Phase 2. The conceptual design is complete, and we’re excited to introduce a new bathhouse with offices, a concession stand, and a community room. Plus, the long-awaited new swimming pool, accessible to all, is on the horizon.

Eddie Collins Memorial Park Community Committee

A Community Committee has been formed to help build the Millerton Community Park Endowment Fund that has been established at Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation. As of spring 2025, it has a $500,000 balance and it distributes 4% of its balance annually to the Village of Millerton for the sole purpose of supporting the operations, maintenance and repair of Eddie Collins Memorial Park. The goal of the Committee is to build the endowment to $2 million by December 31, 2026 so that the Village will be able to adequately staff the completed park and maintain the new facilities.
